New Urgent Appeals Intake Points for UnitedHealthcare Commercial Business

Two dedicated intake points have been established to help expedite the urgent appeals process and meet mandated turnaround times. The urgent appeals process allows members and providers to get the information they need, as quickly as possible, so they can determine next steps in the member’s treatment plan. The health plan has 72 hours (or less, based on individual state laws) to issue an appeal decision.
